Characters.

These are brief descriptions of each character. Feel free to add to them. Obviously, much of the nuance and power of a character is conveyed through their speech and action; show, don't tell.

i run with everyone. i'm feral, infiltrating the unexpected echoes of the empire's last gasp. black clad, yeah. pierced, mad: yeah!

don't call me girl or boy, he or she. i'm j(A)de, like home-made blade, as in: i fuck who i wanna fuck when i wanna fuck, if they wanna fuck me too. fuck you.

Jax

I'm 27, a Scorpio sun with Pisces moon, and profoundly interested in music. I grew up a red diaper baby: dialectical materialism is my veins.

I've been there and done that five times: labor organizer for migrant workers when I was eleven, shooting (hoops) with the 18th street when I was 14, half-dead on ass-tricks when I was 17. Don't mess, be straight up, let's go!

Mary

I'm an assistant professor of interdisciplinary studies at PSU. I did my Ph.D in women's studies: in particular, the use of masculinizing violence in girl gangs in Spokane, Washington, and the implications for a theory of postmodern gender formation.

I love salsa dancing. Azucar!

Max

Slender, intense, smiling. A full red beard, ruddy complexion, "Iron Maiden" T-shirt.

I'm a hacker. I love code: the power to reorganize information so that it creates the world in new ways. I've been fiddling with programs and scripts since I was 9. Now, my main interests are open sourcing IT support for the revolution.

Rainer

I graduated from Reed several years ago. I was one of the organizers of the Ren Faire, and also worked on linking abelian group analysis with quantum computing, from a sociological perspective.

These days, I'm primarily focused on reading Plato.
